browser / privacy setup recs - ferrousrust - 08-09-2026
what's everyone using for a browser setup these days, looking to tighten mine up a bit
browser / privacy setup recs - nullrouted - 08-09-2026
hardened firefox with a decent extension set covers most of it honestly, don't overthink it
browser / privacy setup recs - byte_wrangler - 08-09-2026
seconding that, chasing every privacy extension under the sun just breaks sites for marginal benefit
browser / privacy setup recs - cptn_lag - 08-09-2026
what extensions specifically, always curious what people actually run day to day
browser / privacy setup recs - nullrouted - 08-09-2026
basic ad/tracker blocker, container tabs, that's genuinely most of it for me
browser / privacy setup recs - quietstorm22 - 08-10-2026
container tabs are so underrated, more people should use those
browser / privacy setup recs - ferrousrust - 08-10-2026

what about vpn recs while we're at it, or is that a whole different thread
browser / privacy setup recs - cptn_lag - 08-10-2026
probably its own thread but i'll bite, i've been happy with mine for what it's worth

vpn's mostly snake oil for the average use case honestly, depends what you actually need it for
